The Property

The project site has been described as a "gateway to the Town" and it contains one of the first historic structures visitors see upon entering Pagosa Springs from the East. With the San Juan River bordering the site to the East and 1st Street to the West, this property is highly visible from HWY 160 and has the potential to be a main focal point and gathering place for the Town.

Currently, the site is partially utilized by the Town's museum, run by the San Juan Historical Society. The Museum is housed within a metal building, which was attached roughly in the 1960's. It is not original to the water treatment plant, tanks, or the bridge. For more information on the current considerations of the site, please "click here" for the Current Considerations tab.
